网站到期关闭， F12 查看返回 304， Python requests 返回结果 200

F12 查看 Network headers 显示如下：
Request Method: GET
Status Code: 304 Not Modified

但通过 Python requests 库的 get 方法获取的 status_code 一直是 200。

请问这是什么原因？
