XHTML+RDFA是个什么东西？

从新浪微博上面点到一个站，习惯性看html判断水准，站点在这里 http://levo4.com/
发现用的DTD是XHTML+RDFa 1.0……

似乎我没有在W3CSchool上面看到这样的DTD……新规范么？它的优缺点在哪里？为啥现在基本没看到有网站使用呢？（基本是XHTML 1.0 Strict/XHTML 1.0 Transitional/HTML5之类的。）是因为规范太奇葩么？
