有一台N54L，装了ESXI，想跑openwrt软路由，请问需要用怎样的pcie无线网卡? 需要直通给虚拟机吗？

你可以用usb的无线网卡，这样就可以了。

很多不支持 AP 模式，或者 5GHz，ac 支持就更… 建议弄个无线路由器当纯 AP

@yylyyl 要同时支持两个只有ath10k了吧，另外ath9k也有双频的，比较常见的AC卡BCM4360/94360反倒比较麻烦
