JD: Search Growth & Monetization Team – Full Stack Engineer

Overview

The Search Growth & Monetization Team is at the forefront of driving Bing’s business growth and revenue through innovation in both user experience and advanced AI technologies. As the search landscape rapidly evolves, our team leverages state-of-the-art AI, including LLMs, machine learning, and data-driven experimentation to deliver impactful features and optimizations. We operate in a highly agile environment, moving quickly from ideation to experimentation, development, and deployment with continuous releases throughout the year.

We are seeking a passionate full stack engineer to join our dynamic team. You will work across the full product stack — from designing and shipping Ads and whole page optimization features, to building data pipelines, running experiments, and integrating AI where it creates the most value. You will have access to vast datasets, high-performance distributed systems, and the latest AI tools to solve challenging problems. Your work will shape the future of search, enhance user satisfaction, and drive key business metrics for Microsoft's online ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy high-quality software features leveraging data-driven approaches
• Analyze A/B experiment results and user metrics to inform product decisions and optimize user impact
• Apply AI and data science techniques to understand user behaviors, identify growth opportunities, and drive monetization
• Generate and prototype innovative ideas for increasing user engagement and revenue, using competitive analysis and AI insights
• Build and maintain service monitors, dashboards, and pipelines to track user and revenue growth
• Collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and program managers to maintain team agility
• Partner with global teams to accelerate collaboration and deliver high-impact solutions at scale

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent required
• 1+ years of experience in web development with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS
• 1+ years of software development experience with proficiency in C#, C/C++, or similar languages
• Experience with AI/ML, LLMs, or data science in a production or research setting is highly desirable
• Strong design, problem solving, and data analysis skills, with a passion for quality, performance, and engineering excellence
• Experience solving analytical problems using quantitative and AI-driven approaches
• Motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively to research and deliver innovative solutions to technical and business challenges
• Excellent communication skills in English
