bit OP What's unlimited peer-to-peer syncing?
Unlimited peer-to-peer (P2P) syncing means no storage limits when you're syncing between your own computers. Storage limits only apply to cubbies that are synced to the cloud. P2P example The situation: You have 20 GB of photos on your computer at home You want all 20 GB of photos to be available on your computer at work The "unlimited peer-to-peer" solution: Make your PHOTOS folder into a cubby on your home computer. Open the Cubby desktop application at work and turn on syncing for PHOTOS. To avoid storage limits, make sure the cubby does not sync with the cloud. Once Cubby uploads the files, you'll see all of your photos at work – all 20 GB worth. No limits between peers. That means no limits between two of your own computers. Requirements for peer-to-peer syncing Each computer must be powered on. You must be logged in to Cubby on each computer. Notes for advanced users: Cubby does not run as a service. It is a user application. When sharing between two computers on the same LAN, all data is transferred via LAN. Broken peer-to-peer transfers will be resumed where they left off. |
