Senior Partner Manager - NFV
Job Summary
The Red Hat Engineering team is looking for an Senior Partner Manager to join us in Beijing, China. In this role, you will work with assigned partners to enable Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform and all OpenNFV-related partner enablement activities. You'll work closely with our partners ’ engineering product leads to promote the enablement of their products across all Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform releases. You will also be responsible for managing partner requirements and escalations throughout the release process.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Be assigned our strategic NEP and telecommunications partners ;
Organize and guide all ongoing partner technical deep dives ;
Maintain a good technical working knowledge of your assigned partners' solutions, including product needs and roadmaps ;
Host partner engineering conference calls across various product divisions within our partners' companies ;
Host and facilitate partner technical reviews (engineering roadmap interlocks);
Work on partner technical escalations with the Red Hat Engineering team ;
Maintain partner enablement dashboards ;
Successfully follow through on all engineering escalations around feature requests, exception requests, or mutual customer issues ;
Assist Red Hat Support in customer to partner escalations
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, etc.; MBA is preferred ;
Hands-on experience with various programming languages and server architectures is preferred ;
Good knowledge of x86 architecture ;
Experience with the open source development model and Linux or UNIX ;
Working, hands-on knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform ;
Experience working with a networking company is an advantage ;
Working knowledge of the telecommunications sector is highly preferred; experience working in a Tier 1 NEP or telecommunications company is preferred ;
Self-motivated, with an ability to learn quickly; excellent problem solving skills ;
Ability to assess partner requests while taking into account Red Hat's goals, requirements, and strategic directions ;
Demonstrated leadership experience working with and guiding cross-functional teams ;
Ability to work in a rapidly changing and highly challenging environment ;
Willingness to travel up to 35%。
Senior Software Engineer - CI Developer
Job Summary
The Red Hat Software Engineering team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join us in Beijing, China. In this role, yoiu will assist members of Red Hat's Telecommunications and NFV partner infrastructure to guide solutions from concept to implementation in partner testbeds and labs. You'll work with partners and engineering teams to identify, prioritize, and resolve bugs and feature gaps. We will need you to work closely with partners to understand their individual needs and incremental value and draw from Red Hat's portfolio of solutions (such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform and Red Hat Ceph Storage) to architect partner-specific solutions.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Contribute to Red Hat's reference implementation of an NFV solution;
Stand up partner-specific solutions;
Work with leading telecommunications companies to derive specialized solutions for them based on Red Hat offerings; work with these companies to set up and maintain specialized testbeds and labs to facilitate co-engineering with the respective partners;
Support prototyping of deviations and additions from the reference implementation;
Act as a guide between partners and Red Hat program and engineering teams, supporting requirements definition and feature and bug prioritization;
Guide and review partners solutions including all guides and documentation;
Required Skills
Proven experience with telecommunications culture, operations, management systems, and processes;
Solid understanding of telecommunications mobile and fixed network architectures and their NFV workloads;
A solid understanding of networking protocols including:
DNS, DHCP, TCP, and UDP
Layer 2, e.g. switching, link aggregation, VLAN, trunk, and VxLAN
Layer 3, e.g. BGP and ISIS
Both IPv4 and IPv6
Carrier-grade, highly available network and applications
Troubleshooting using packet tracer (tcpdump), logs, and alarm
Deep understanding of cloud computing and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform;
Proven variety of Linux knowledge;
Solid communication skills, both written and verbal;
A keen eye for good architecture; ability to develop new architectures;
Experience with KVM-based virtualization and libvirt;
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent;
