“Pilot study” 指“预研究/试点研究/先导研究”，是在正式大规模研究或项目实施前进行的小规模试验，用来检验研究设计、工具（如问卷/量表）、流程可行性、招募方式与数据收集方法，并发现潜在问题。学术语境中也常译为“预测试”。（在航空领域 pilot 也可指“飞行员”，但此处为研究方法用法。）
