牙周袋：指由于牙周组织（牙龈与牙周支持组织）发生炎症与破坏，使牙龈与牙面之间的沟隙异常加深形成的“袋状空间”。临床上常用牙周探针测量其深度，是评估牙周炎严重程度的重要指标。（注：在健康情况下对应的是较浅的“龈沟”。）
