Job Summary

The Red Hat Quality Engineering team is looking for a Quality Engineer to join us in Beijing, China. In this role, you will focus on testing our Red Hat Virtualization. You'll create test plans, research new features, and develop automated test scripts. You will also perform acceptance, function, regression, integration, and performance testing. Our team culture encourages you to come up with innovative solutions to problems and offers you the opportunity to work with some of the brightest engineers in open source. We'll need you to have a passion for testing, scripting, and examining how things work internally.

Primary Job Responsibilities Research new features and test plan development Develop, review, and maintain automated test scripts and test cases, both manual and automatic Carry out automated test scripts; analyze and summarize the testing results Analyze, report, and track defects Operate automated test tools and debug software problems

Required Skills Bachelor's degree with 3+ years professional experience or master's degree with 2+ years professional experience 3+ years of solid Linux experience 3+ years professional experience in software testing; development experience is a plus 2+ years scripting experience with Bash, Perl, or Python Familiarity with a wide variety of operating system components, especially kernels Motivated with the ability to work under deadline pressure Excellent written and verbal English communication skills Professional experience with virtualization is a plus
