Job Description
As an Agile Scrum Master, you will provide management and direction to a set of project owner team to include organizing and facilitating sprint planning sessions, daily stand-up meetings, sprint demos, retrospectives, story grooming sessions, and any other Scrum-related meetings. You will act as a project manager / facilitator and gatekeeper as the project progresses through the delivery life cycle while also advocating continuous improvement in quality and the process itself.
Responsibilities
• Assist team members in Agile estimation techniques
• Coaching team members on Agile principles and providing general guidance
• Organizing and facilitating planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, and other Scrum-related meetings
• Tracking and communicating team velocity and sprint/release progress to all affected teams and management
• Facilitating discussion and conflict resolution in order to improve team productivity while promoting continuous improvement
• Ensuring that the development teams are practicing the core Agile principles
• Working closely with assigned product owners in defining the vision and ensuring that the team is on the right track
• Assuring that Scrum values and practices are followed by the teams that develop new and continuously improve State Street products. Assuring that the teams have what they need to be successful, removing obstacles that inhibit increased productivity.
• Advocating software development practices such as Test Driven Development that work well in a Scrum framework.
• Working closely with product managers and QA team to establish acceptance criteria for all user stories.
• Assuring that user stories in product backlogs are prioritized and estimated, which includes scheduling and facilitating planning and prioritization sessions.
• Tracking team velocity, deltas between sprints and reacts to ensure high quality and on time delivery to our customers, business owners and stakeholders.
• Facilitating communication between teams and product managers.
• Reviewing and improving practices, recommending tools for Scrum planning and monitoring.
• Working effectively with product management, development and technical operations leadership to assure that teams have appropriate resources.

Qualifications:
• BS Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• 2-3 years of Scrum Experience, Scrum Master Certification required
• Knowledge & understanding of C#, .NET platform, MS-SQL and/or Oracle
• Ability to lead, demonstrate value-add principles and communicate well with teams
• Understand basic fundamentals of iterative development
• Understand other processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise
• Understand basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures
• Understand the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team
• Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics
• Understand backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition
• Familiarity with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices
